Anna Kolchina- vocalistJinJoo Yoo- pianoPaul Gill- bassEvan Sherman- drums Acclaimed New York based Jazz Vocalist Anna Kolchina has a voice that has been heard around the world. She has performed and recorded with world-class musicians from Europe, and the USA. Born and raised in Ufa, Russian Republic of Bashkortostan, in pursuit of her musical development Anna moved to St. Petersburg to study at the storied St. Petersburg State University of Cultural Arts. Musical opportunities quickly came her way leading her to move to the musical metropolis of New York. In 2015, Annas debut album Street of Dreams was recorded with the Italian jazz pianist Massimo Faraos trio in Turin, Italy and released by Japanese based jazz label, Venus Records. Venus Records is one of the most historic and respected jazz labels worldwide and is adored by audiophiles around the world for their impressive catalogue. Later that year and in support of the release of Street Of Dreams, Anna performed at Bobby Durhams Jazz Festival in Isola del Cantone, Italy which besides herself featured Kevin Mahogany, Steve Nelson, Sheila Jordan, Vincent Herring, Paul Bollenback, Mike Baker, Byron Landham, Aldo Zunino, Rodney Bradley, Massimo Farao and Pat Bianchi to name a few. In 2016, Anna released her sophomore record with Venus Records, Dark Eyes featuring the same rhythm section as her debut but adding a horn section to which was met with great acclaim. In December 2017, Anna released her third album with Venus Records titled Wild Is The Wind. This time now living in New York City she recorded with All-Star band featuring John Di Martino on piano, Peter Washington on bass and Willie Jones III on drums. The same month of the records release she appeared on the cover of the jazz magazine Jazz Perspective. All of her Venus Records albums were released on Vinyl LP and Super Audio CD. After a successful 3 record releases Anna has since made a name for herself performing with and leading exemplary bands in New York and internationally.
