Upon returning from a 3-year hiatus in December, 2023 the band found themselves reinvigorated with a sense of joy for performing again, a matured sound, and a humbled appreciation for connection through their music. wakelee: Formed in Brooklyn in 2019, wakelee consists of identical twins Alex and David Bulmer, and Elliot Shiang. They met at a friends party and immediately bonded over Halal food and music.
