Blue Lunch is celebrating 40 years of performing throughout the Midwest, and to culminate their 40th year, Blue Lunch is back on December 25 with the 15th Annual X-Mas Night-(not x-mas eve) Latke Party at the Beachland Tavern. Blue Lunch will play their eclectic mix of blues, soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz. As always, Blue Lunch will bring in outstanding special guests to add to the celebration. This years show will be a harmonica tour de force with guest harmonica player/vocalists Hank Mowery and Tom Moore, along with Blue Lunchs Pete London. Harmonica player/vocalist Hank Mowery will be making his debut joining Blue Lunch. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Hank has fronted his own band, the Hawktones for over 30 years, and his CD Account to Me won the Best Self-Produced CD in 2014. Hes shared the stage with a whos who of blues artists including Anson Funderburgh, Little Charlie Baty, William Clarke, and Pinetop Perkins. Tom Moore, The South Bend Hurricane, will be blowing into town from Indiana. Back by popular demand, Tom is no stranger to Blue Lunch or the X-mas Night Latke Party. Hes the consummate showman, and has been the long time front man for Little Frank and the Premiers. Doors open at 6:30pm, with festivities kicking off with DJ Pete London spinning blues, soul, and R&B vinyl. The band takes the stage beginning at 7:30, with Hank and Tom joining in throughout the evening. As usual, the usual array of food and beverages, along with homemade latkes, will be available for sale. This year, you can celebrate two holidays at the Beachland Tavern, as Chanukah begins on Christmas Night!
