DCBday - Celebrating the Music of David Berman [Ages 18+, Doors Open 7pm, $25 Advance, $30 Day of Show] 5th Annual DCBday Celebration & Charity Benefit - January 4th at the Bowery Ballroom, bands and singers will celebrate the life of David Cloud Berman on his birthday, performing songs from The Silver Jews and Purple Mountains albums. Bands include Patrick from Titus Andronicus, Majesties (Baltimore) and The Cartoons (Bowling Green, KY) with special guest singers Ryan Walsh (Hallelujah The Hills) and Matt Hunter (Silver Jews/New Radiant Storm King/Dusty Fates). Additional bands and singers to be announced. Special events include The Blessing of The Hot Wheels and Silver Kazoos Orchestra. Dress Code: Black and Brown Shoes. Proceeds from the show will be donated to Musicares, an ally to the music community providing preventative, recovery and emergency assistance to safeguard the health and well-being of music people in need, and to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
