Ferhat Tunç has been a torchbearer for freedom songs, carrying them from generation to generation. Despite all the hardships, he walked under the rainbow towards the grace of hope. He was the voice of history, poetry, outcry, hope, and sound. His voice has been ringing loud for forty years, rising towards the sky. Ferhat Tunç is an artist who draws the strength to stand tall in the face of oppression and hardship by singing. He has fit 27 albums into his 40-year music career and performed countless concerts in many countries worldwide. In 2010, he was honoured with the "Freedom to Create" award by Freemuse. He also has a book titled "Difficult Times, Delicate Songs." In addition to his singing career, he has been politically active. Due to numerous lawsuits and prison sentences for his thoughts and expressions, he had to leave Turkey, where he had lived for a long time, seeking freedom of thought and expression. The artist has been living in exile in Germany.
