GENERAL ADMISSION - LEGAL AGE 19+FontineWyatt C. Louisand special guest Neha SinAll Ages/licensed 19+ w/ photo IDIndie-folk/pop artist FONTINE, from Winnipeg, MB, is making waves. A queer and indigenous musician of Nehiyaw Iskwew heritage, her debut EP, co-produced with friends Kris Ulrich and mixed by Boy Golden, dropped in February this year. Inspired by the prairies and the Winnipeg music scene, her music is a fusion of culture and creativity. FONTINEs single Homemaker reached number one on the Indigenous Music Countdown, and she recently graced CBCs The Intro stage. With roots in her heritage and her home, FONTINEs music is a captivating journey.Walking the line between genres like an easy path rather than a tightrope, carried by textural and ethereal songs lifted up by stunning vocals, Wyatt C. Louis debut album Chandler (Royal Mountain Records) refers to simply their middle name. Louis (they/he), a Plains Cree singer-songwriter born and raised in parts of Treaty Six, now lives in Mohkinstss (Blackfoot name for Calgary) and lets that amalgamation of place shine through on these tracks, some of which came to life in the quiet and contemplative days of deep pandemic lockdown.Chandler is suffused with a soft comfort that glows with feelings of familiarity and ease. Recorded at singer-songwriter and producer Phenix Warrens studio, Alta Sound, with Colin Carbonera on hand as a producer/engineer, and tracks featuring Wild Pink and City and Colours Matt Kelly, Louis found levity through collaboration. A new experience, the result is upbeat yet cozy, the kind of songs that show off Louis contradictions of paying homage to the country music ingrained in the geography of their childhood, with an indie and roots spin that makes it something different. Neha Sin is an Ottawa musician with a warm, honey-folk sound. In her work, the attention Neha Sin pays to experience is unbiased the smallest of scenes and the grandest of emotions are depicted with the same tender respect. She is a modern folk storyteller, combining silky reverb with tales of nature and mixed-bag love affairs. Her verse focuses on the transitional. She floats between places and spaces and chords. Neha Sin sings with all the tender, nostalgic cling of warm honey.presented with the support of Ontario Creates and Beyond The Pale-----PLEASE NOTE: Vax and masks are no longer required, but masks are always encouraged.ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE PENDING PROVINCIAL HEALTH REGULATIONS-----Limit of six tickets per household/credit card.Lineup, date, venue, times and ticket price subject to change without notice. All tickets sales are final. no exchanges, upgrades, or refunds.Any tickets purchased by suspected resellers are subject to cancellation without refund.
