Freakshow burst onto the rock scene with a powerhouse debut album that united some of rocks most formidable talents. Formed by Ronnie Borchert, the frontman from San Franciscos Miss Crazy, the original lineup included Jeff LeBar of Cinderella, Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot, and Tony Franklin of The Firm. Borchert, known for his dynamic vocals reminiscent of Tom Keifer, Joe Elliot, Steve Whitman, and Brian Johnson, spearheaded the project with a strong presence, having previously fronted melodic rock/glam bands Amsterdam and Trixie. From 2005 to 2008, Freakshow released three albums and toured relentlessly, cementing their place in rock history. Their music was a staple of the rock scene during this era, thanks in part to LeBars distinctive guitar work and the collective prowess of the supergroup. In 2023, Freakshow re-emerged with a fresh lineup and a blistering new album, So Shall It Be. This incarnation of the band features Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) on guitar and vocals, whose virtuosity and respected status in the rock world enhance their sound. Greg Chaisson (Badlands, Jake E. Lee) brings his masterful bass playing to the mix, while Stet Howland (WASP, Metal Church) provides driving rhythms on drums and vocals. Rounding out the lineup for live performances is Steve Unger of Metal Church, adding his bass and backing vocals. With So Shall It Be released under Eonian Records, the revamped Freakshow is set to bring their energetic live performance to stages everywhere. Hungry and ready to rock, the band is poised to make a significant impact with their latest offering.
