Murphy, who is long known by fans as Murph, has been on a break from touring, and is excited to reunite with the music community and bring his signature bass sounds to fans across the East Coast. The band will also feature an all-star lineup of guest musicians including Michael Travis of String Cheese Incident, Shira Elias (Cool Cool Cool), plus members of Mihali Band, Space Bacon, and more. The tour will kick off with three exclusive shows in Portland (Maine), Boston, and Brooklyn, bringing together a fusion of funky electronic influences that have become the hallmark of the J.Wail sound. Fans can expect to hear an electrifying mix of original compositions and collaborative jams, as well as exciting surprises with the ensemble of guest artists and special guests. Murphys return to the stage is a major moment for his fans, many of whom have eagerly awaited his next move since his departure from STS9. Known for his dynamic bass playing and deep-rooted connection to improvisational music, Murphy is sure to bring his signature style and energy to every show. As a founding member of STS9, Murphy helped shape the bands genre-defying sound, blending electronic, jazz, and rock influences to create a unique musical experience. The Brooklyn and Boston shows will hold a special significance, as it will double as a benefit concert for Hurricane Relief in Western North Carolina. A portion of all ticket sales from this performance will be donated to support ongoing relief efforts in the region, helping those impacted by recent natural disasters.
