Kintsugi: Flamenco and Healing featuring Farruquito
Available Dates27 Front Street East
Commissioned by the Aga Khan Museum for the 2024 Duende International Flamenco Festival, Kintsugi is based on the Japanese philosophy that teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something beautiful and resilient. Kintsugi shows us that in time, we can heal from our wounds, embrace our imperfections, and become stronger. It reminds us that no matter our difficulties, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life. The renewal and reimagining of life will be witnessed in this world-premier performance through the lens of Kintsugi and the meticulous and powerful artistic direction of Ángel Rojas in collaboration with audio-visual artist Victor Tomé. He will create a stunning visual experience enveloping the powerful live "Gitano" artistry of Farruquito and his flamenco musicians.
