MOZART & MASQUERADE . The Stars Align

Music Director Nurhan Arman leads the orchestra in a program with four star soloists and music from the Baroque to modern-classical. Toronto's own Conrad Chow will be featured in a Baroque favourite,, Bach's Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major, and three music competition winners will play piano concertos by Mozart. Anissa She, Jonathan Wang and Victoria Zeng are all "tween" and teen-age prodigies! After intermission the orchestra will play Khachaturian's Masquerade Suite, five gorgeous sections from his folkloric ballet suite, each a beautiful dance with a different character: a Waltz, a Nocturne with a haunting solo violin line, a Mazurka, a Romance and a final Galop performed at an amazing speed.
