Sistas Calling is a riveting and explosive musical theatre dance production aimed to inform and educate through performing arts. Starring actress, singer, and dancer JA. Marie and accomplished practitioner and therapist, Dr. Roz Roach, Sistas Calling tells Rosa?s story, unique but similar to that of millions of women worldwide. To honour survivors and victims, and enlighten us all, Dr. Roz Roach composed a collection of songs, using popular music genres blended with spoken word and powerful vocals, that speak to the issues of violence, racism, homophobia, and the power of healing and rising from adversity. Art is a universal communicator, transcending time and bridging gaps between separated groups. In Sistas Calling, performing arts will be utilized to help shift the psyche of audience members while bringing about societal healing.
