South Carolina Ballet is pleased to announce the upcoming performance of "Romeo & Juliet". With beautiful choreography by William Starrett, the production digs deep into the depths of Shakespeare's tragedy. The State Newspaper deemed this production "perfect for the romantic at heart." Principals Claire Rapp and Joshua Van Dyke will star as the star-crossed lovers, Juliet and Romeo. Rapp, who captivated audiences in this role during the 2021-2022 season under the mentorship of Prima Ballerina Mariclare Miranda, will bring her seasoned portrayal of Juliet back to the stage. Van Dyke, who also performed as Romeo in the same season, will reprise his role, promising an engaging an powerful peformance. The Johnny Mercer Theater is essential to the community's cultural life.
