Tennessee Ballet Theater's Clara & The Nutcracker

Clara & the Nutcracker is a charming classical ballet rendition of the beloved holiday tale about young Clara and her adventures. Beautiful costumes and lively, sometimes amusing, choreography transport the audience to Clara's world in the late 1700s. After visiting Drosselmeyer?s magnificent Toy Shop and then dancing at her Christmas party, Clara finds herself in a battle with the Prince and Mouse King. The Prince takes her on a journey to the land of snow and to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Kingdom of Sweets. Audiences have been delighted for years by the exquisite classical training and performing skills of the Children's Ballet Theater dancers who fill many ensemble and principal roles in this Memphis treasure. The 90 minute performance is directed by Mary Van Dyke and Erin Walter. Join us in the lobby after the performance to sit on the throne alongside Clara and the Sugar Plum!
